We met them in Ray's beautiful venue Debarra Folk Club in Clonakilty. Stephen and I will head to Czech on the 15th of June. we also invited my good friend Dominique Brackeva to play trombone with us. He now lives in Norway with his girlfriend and two children and is willing to part from his family for this tour. The last time I played with Dominique was in Paradiso in 2005. The awards ceremony took place at the RDS on St. Patrick’s Day 17th March but we were busy playing at the St. Patrick's Festival in Waterford so were unable to attend. We were, however, represented by HoCC trombonist Rossa O'Neill and Seadog Records head Colin Farrell (yes that's his real name!) I'm told much fun was had by all involved and congratulations go to the eventual winner of the award, Wallis Bird.
